Dec birthday and Christmas

We made a bunch of cookies and fudge to share with our English Connect class and temple workers.
A pan for english class and for the temple.
English connect potluck lunch on Alan's birthday.
We sang happy birthday and he blew out 2 candles.
The Ulloas invited us to their home in the mountains for Christmas eve dinner and program. It was SO sweet of them to take us up and then take us home, about 20 minutes away, even though they had a house full of family.
We had almost 50 people there by the end of the evening and had a program on their porch.
 Their Christmas tree.
We sang OH Estrella DE Luz, a few other families sang or gave messages, and then Pres Ulloa read Luke 2. It was a wonderful night.
This is their outside oven that they baked pork and turkey in all day. It looks like a mini igloo.
Kitchen and dining room and getting ready to eat.
Yum, it was a wonderful night.

Wed. before Thanksgiving, the mission president and his wife, the Domans, came to the temple with the McFarlands and Griffeths. The family couple from San Cristobal came also, the Farrels. We ate at the Argentinian restaurant after the session.

End of Oct

This is our favorite and closest place to get food. It is across from the temple and 1/2 mile from our apartment. They serve homemade meals Monday-Friday.
Rice, refried beans, and meat from Los Negritos, lunch is served.
A little museum about 2 miles from our apartment.
These men take care of the grounds in and around the park. They don't use lawn mowers, only hoes and machetes.

Stacks of grass along the sidewalk.

Oct 13

We went to the center of town with the Lozas, to Marimba park. They have music from 6-12 every night and people dance.
The band is behind us in the gazebo.
Enjoying the music with the Lozas.
Alan got a picture of Sister Loza and I talking.
We'll have to come back sometime and dance more because it was fun!
