March Tuxtla and Cedar City

Saturday, March 21, we suddenly found ourselves being sent home, due to Corona Virus concerns, along with all other foreign temple missionaries around the world. Our mission president's wife told us to book a flight, and about 3 hours later we got an email from Salt Lake telling us the same thing.
So after 9 months, our mission was over and we were going home.
Sister Cardenas and her niece, Jessica came over for some clothes, shoes, and food we were giving away. We teach Jessica in our english class and she told me she loved a couple of my skirts and I told her she could have them when we went home.
They took most of the food to a single mom of 4 with very little money. She was So excited to have the food for her family!
Alan and I waiting at the Tuxtla airport, Monday morning, 2 days after finding out we were leaving.
On the airplane to Mexico City.
Mexico City airport with the Griffeths from Boise, ID. They and another couple, the McFarlands lived in San Cristobal and worked with all the little branches of the church in the mountains.
There were about 50 missionaries from the MTC and other areas of Mexico going home to the States that we waited for our flight with. The girl across from me is Sister Duenas, a cousin of a missionary we worked with in Rabinal, Guatemala.
Video we sent to the sister temple workers to say good-bye. The temple was closed for cleaning 2 weeks and we didn't get to say good-bye to anyone but the temple president, his wife, and Sister Cardenas and Jessica.
In our temporary apartment in Cedar City, serving out a 2 week quarantine, and doing a puzzle. We got released this same evening (on facetime) by the Stake President.
Next day I put on pants and we went for a 5 mile walk.
Brr, it was 99 in Tuxtla and the high in Cedar was only 45. We are still in quarantine. We can go outside for walks and then right back in. But no shopping, visiting, or personal interactions.
We had fast and testimony and sunday school meeting at home.
We walked Coal Creek Trail today.

Water, st Patrick's day, church at home, going home to Tuxtla

We swam at the big pool near Akumal beach.
We got a little too much sun, is that possible!?
Eating at Turtle Bay Cafe one last time.
Home-made chocolate with habenero after bite.
 Beach
We walked to Akumal on the beach.
There were a bunch of sting rays and fish we could see from the beach.
St Paddy's day at the pool was fun. We did water aerobics and danced a little on the beach.
The church canceled church and all members were asked to meet in their homes in groups of 10 or less.
We turned our car in and Alan left our apartment key on the ring. We were in the airport 3 hours across from Budget and they never called to tell us about the keys. Arg, had to have a lock smith pick the door, which he couldn't. He finally went through the ajoining apartment and over the wall and broke in our back door pretty easily.
