July 2025

Alan ripping the baseboard off the front room and entry. The floor split in 2 places because the installer didn't allow for the unsquare walls and it pulled apart within 3 weeks of being put in.
                                                            The split by the stairway.
                                                        The split by the closet.
All fixed and Alan putting the baseboards back on.

The Beazers came to stay with us for the Lauritzen's homecoming talks. They took us senior missionaries out to Culvers.
Luncheon after church at his brother's house. We had 4 missionaries there, Beazer, Strong, McGinn, & E. Hill
                                                                  Zions to hike the Narrows.
There was a deep part that took us by surprise, but it was fun!
Theo was freezing and didn't go to the fork. I found a sunny spot for him to lay in and he warmed up and took a nap.
We went to Debi's pool and they loved playing there, then home and they played on the workout machines and air hockey and massage chair.
The next day I went with them to Bryce Canyon.
It was a great hike!
We ate at Mom'a caafe on the way home.
Played Liverpool Rummy that night with the kids.
Alan drove to Portland and we stayed with the Caytons. We ate at Stir Crazy with the Hollenzers.
                                                           After Hal Hovorka's funeral.
We had homemade root beer at our Primary Activity at the park.
Our old deck, rotting and leaking!
Our new deck before Alan fixed the melted siding caused by our renters when they put the hot grill too close to the house.
Deck with new railing, $33K later!
The morning breaks, driving to Arches, we left at 4am and got there at 8:15am.
                                               Arches National Park
                                               Balance Rock
                                                         We hiked around it.
                                                                          Alan helped out!
                                                             Double Arches
                                                                  The boys inside of it.
                                                                         Double Arch
                                                        Meek family under Delicate Arch
Delicate Arch. It was 100* and I got some heat stroke, very shaky, but we all made it!

                                                                  They saw some Petroglyphs.
                                                            Canyonlands Orange Cliffs
                                                                Green River Overlook
It's beautiful, the poor man's Grand Canyon!
