Christmas 2010

This year we put the lights up on the inside of the windows because Alan almost fell off the roof the last time he put them up on the outside. We are happy with the way it looks:)
The girls watched me make rolls and wanted to make cookies with me. I let them pick which cookies and we made them together.
Then we frosted and decorated them and left 3 out for Santa!
The next morning everyone lined up on the stairs waiting to go down and see what Santa left. We also got Skype going with Chad's parents in West Virginia so they could see the girls open presents.
Oh, what a surprise Santa left and what fun watching the grandchildren open gifts!
Stocking stuff is done and now for the gifts.
Whit showing off some of her stuff.
The Schips got here Monday afternoon and got reacquainted with their cousins.
The next night grandpa showed the kids how much fun our table is. He spun all of them until they were sick or dizzy!)

Baby Blessing Weekend

Alan and I left home Saturday and got to Ash and Chad's house in time to go to their ward christmas party. Everyone was in a good mood:)
They had the Polar Express as the theme and Ash is getting into it.
The girls anxiously awaited the arrival of Santa Claus.

Her first Santa!
The next day was the blessing and she was soo good...
Until she got home.
Alan and I hit some scary ice on the summit and the guy in front of us spun off the road but we made it home okay. We passed 3 ambulances and police cars going up so I think we made it through just in time.

Thanksgiving

At 9AM Ashleigh and I jog/walked the turkey trot and had Alan bring hot water, cups, spoons, and cocoa for everyone. After we ate our Thanksgiving dinner in the afternoon we went to see Tangled. It was cute and one we will own in our DVD collection I'm sure!)
After being fed I got to get some smiles from the grandbaby.
She is so cute, it's hard to believe she is almost a month old!

Children's Museum

Naomi told us about the free Friday at the children's museum, so we went tonight. The pictures were from our phone and weren't too great but the kids had a great time.
Not only could you pick flowers but you could replant them.
The kids enjoyed brushing the crocodiles teeth and climbing all over him.
Let us not forget the insides!
After doing a few activities some of the kids decided to paint their faces. What a great Clown!
They played in the treehouse and fallen log and became sunflowers.
The digging room was a hit but it was sooo crowded that we didn't stay there too long.
The building room was fun but no one wanted to wear the hard hats.
They even had plumbing to be done by these two experts.
The emergency vehicles were a blast to drive and the lights and microphone made it even better.
Water is always fun. The kids got wet even with the plastic aprons on.
They loved getting wet and experimenting.
More water!
It wouldn't be complete without a pump.
They had a theatre room with costumes and a stage and the kids could see themselves on TV. We all clapped and loved the dancing.

Bravo, good show guys!

Work Picnic

I'm helping Josh blow bubbles while we relax at the picnic bench.
Alan's work had a wonderful picnic that we got to take the grandkids to. We had hamburgers and hot dogs...

Loads of cotton candy...

Snow cones galore...

and all of the kids got a character balloon, like Ariel...

and Ben and Josh got penguins. We all had a blast!

Grandkids Vacation

Em got this wig and may have to use it for Halloween this year.
We picniced at Asheigh's house while we were there and ate chicken alfredo, MMM!
Ashleigh let the kids paint on some canvas to put up in the play room. They all had fun and got paint on everything.

The kids got together in"the Nook" and we took their picture.
