Jamie urged us to take down the old drapery stuff and get something new so here it is!
We got our granite counters put in today and Alan will hook up the water faucets tomorrow. When the bathroom is put together and the tile is sealed I'll take a picture of it and share it.
The kitchen floor is in and in 3 weeks we will have new counter tops, we hope!
Last weekend we got our fence put in, the trees trimmed, and the yard cleaned up with bark dust spread around. I want to plant a couple more blueberry bushes and veggies for a garden soon. Now if only it will dry out a little!)
We worked all day putting in the rest of our wood floors and then cleaned up and went to a prime rib dinner at the church. I was hoping to get in one dance but they didn't start that until 9PM and we still had stuff to do in the kitchen and pantry, so we went home. It was a great day though!
Here's our new door. Alan spent Saturday putting the door in and then he will paint the trim tomorrow. He picked a freakishly cold and windy day so we froze in the house while the door was out. It is nice to have the door in and able to lock !
Alan had this week off and was busy everyday from early morning to early morning. We were up past midnight every night working hard. We are both sore and have blisters, cuts, and slivers. We brought in the New Year OHHING over half of the floor that was done!
What a nice end to it though. We still have the trim to do and of course the kitchen but we are excited to enjoy what is done. Today we are going to clean out and organize the garage and shed with Alan's tools and put together my corner curio cabinet. Then we work in the temple tonight.
