Painting

I got 3 different paint colors to paint inside our house. The bonus room is tan.
Whit's old room is yellow and gray.
2 bathrooms are gray and one is tan or light brown.
 Our room is gray.
The living room and dining room are gray.
The family room is tan. We also painted our pantry, kitchen and our porch railings white. Alan and chad put pot lights in the kitchen and I love them. I thought about doing the laundry room but told Alan I would wait until we tile it :-)

Sunday Treat

Jamie sent us a pic of the boys over a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies and Alan and I were salivating over how they looked, so today Alan suggested I make some. Yum!

Dutch Oven Potluck

Cliff Cayton invited a bunch of people over for a dutch oven potluck today. The coals are getting hot and ready for the food.
Here is the yummy food; mexican chili with corn bread, creamy chicken rice, pork and sweet potato stew, beef stew, chicken hashbrown casserole, bread, and for dessert; monkey bread and chocolate mud cake. We had Frys, Egans with Emma, Hollenzers, Joegensens, Istooks, Denice and John and Emma, Caytons, and us.

Ash and Kids Visit

Ashleigh brought the girls down to see us for a few days.
We had a popcorn and movie night.
We let them play in the hot tub one night. We loved having them and can't wait until the next time!

June

We drove back to Oregon from Utah and California and got home and put things away in our house and then I had to turn around and go back to Utah to pick up our second car.
While in Utah, Whitney and I went to an Osmond and second generation Osmond Concert in West Jordan.
We had a lot of fun singing and dancing to the music and it was for a great cause, helping the hearing impaired.
This is Merrill; Jay, Jimmy,Alan, Tommy, and Viril were there. Wayne had a stroke and could not come and Donny and Marie were performing in Las Vegas.
I also came and helped Jamie with her kids for a couple of weeks.
We did some swimming, slip N slide, jogging, and sunning to dry off.
We played 13 and other games!!
Ben and I ran in the NSL 5K. We just got in and are all hot and sweaty.
I got third place in my age division, which puts me about in the middle.
While I was in UT, Whitney came to OR to have her eyes lasered. She loves being able to see w/o glasses!
When I drove back home I bought three 5 gallons of paint and started painting a bedroom. I pulled down a wallpaper border that the kids had picked and ripped and had Alan help put up chair railing instead. I like it!

Back from Israel

I packed everything I could to go home on the pallet, we had to leave our office chair, converter box, and boogie boards because we were over weight. 600 pounds doesn't go very far when you live somewhere for almost 10 months.
My flight was late getting into Dallas because of lightning. We circled until we were low on fuel and went to Tulsa, OK to refuel and head back to Dallas. I missed my connecting flight because a TSA guy wouldn't let me through security with my boarding pass from Israel and I had to wait in line to get a boarding pass from Dallas. Instead of paying $60 for a hotel room for the night I opted to spend the night on a chair/floor/cot in the terminal. Not much sleep going on but I made it to SLC the next day.
I got to spend a great week with the G-kids doing field trips to hike, swim, dance recital, and see Kinnecott copper mine.
One of the huge tires on the rigs they use there, with my little group I was in charge of.
 The pit.
 Fun times on the tramp!
Alan got in a day late because of plane problems and spent the night in a hotel in London. Now we are safely in our home in OR and the G-girls came for the weekend. We had some great times shopping and eating!

Utah trip

We made it to the Y.
Jamie, her kids, and I climbed the 'Y'. It was awesome, even though I was the last one up.
We had a BBQ with the family, here are the sibs.
The girls wore twin shirts and put make-up on. They got along really well this trip. Sometimes they both try to be the boss and they have fights but this time they got along great!
The sibs after we got back from SLC seven peaks water park.
Ashleigh took this family pic of the Schips.
My niece, Hillary after she came out of the SL temple.
The cute family!
My nephew's wedding, Logan and Summer, at Manti Temple.
Ash took this gorgeous picture, the inside is really pretty too. They have the longest free standing circular stairway inside. This is Alan's family. They even have a picture of Les, who is in Afghanistan, on the I-phone Jeff is holding, so all of them are in the picture.
The birthday boy's 4th party. He picked out a dragon cake, mmm good!
We got the cousins together for one last picture before we left the next morning.
Alan and I holding the baby. She's a cute little chunk!
