Gran cenote

After Coba we cooled off in the Gran cenote.
We swam under the cave with bats inside.
Pretty blue water.
 It was fun.
They had a bunch of box turtles in the water also.

Coba ruins

We went to Coba ruins and rented bicycles.
Alan got a selfie.
We biked the raised stone pathways that connect the residential areas to the main pyramid area of Nohoch Mul and small lakes used as a water supply nearby.
The largest pyramid at Coba is Ixmoja and you can still climb it.

About halfway up.
 On top.
The canopy of trees are so pretty.
Climbing down.
We climbed down without the rope.
 Alan coming down.
About halfway Chad and I started crab walking.
The ball court at Coba.
Selfie biking out.

Tulum

Beautiful Tulum ruins on the seashore.
 Ash and Chad.
 Group shot.
 Ashleigh with a coati.
 Bright sun.
Clifftop Castillo, built as a watchtower, and the Templo de las Pinturas.
Open meadow with these trees and red flowerd.
On the way in and out you pass all these art projects that remind us of the movie Coco.
 Well hello Elvis and Marilyn.
 group pic.
Ash got to hold an iguana, Chad got the tail.
Cute bar stool idea.

Cancun trip

While the temple was closed for cleaning we flew into Cancun and stayed in town 2 days while waiting for Ash and Chad to fly in. Our vrbo didn't work out, she said she was never contacted and we couldn't stay at her place. Hopefully, we'll get our money back but we doubt it. VRBO hasn't called us back yet and it's been over a week.
 Flying out of Tuxtla airport.
On the plane to Cancun. We got 2 nights at One hotel near where our vrbo was that we booked and had a good breakfast included every morning, it was great except for the HARD beds.
Ash and Chad came in Tuesday afternoon and we picked them up and went down to our vrbo at Anah Bahia Principe south of Akumal.
We checked out the pools and beach.
 We loved the pools.
The beach was pretty but a little rocky.
Outside our condo at Anah.
Living inside out, loved the sliding door in the living area of our condo.

February

We had the first ever couple from Pantelhó come to the temple and then they were sealed. He is the branch president and she is the Relief Society Pres. I got to help sister Gomez all the way through the evening and she was crying and so happy. She speaks more Tzotzil than Spanish and can’t write and only reads a little. She had me put many of her family on the prayer roll of the temple. What a beautiful and sweet experience it was.
 The Gomez family.
Justin had his debut book signing in UT and his aunt, siblings and cousins and others came to support him.
All of our kids went to Emma's ballet of Sleeping Beauty, where she played Aurora.
Alan and I walked to the other side of the city again, kind of for my birthday. We bought shoes for me to walk in and chinese food, 17 miles in total.
My new walking shoes. The only discounted shoes in my size!
I made muffins for our english classes and they sang happy birthday and Las Mananitas to me.
We made fudge and shared it with the Marques and the adult missionaries in San Cristobal.
The group of 5 couples from Chamula that got sealed. They speak Tzotzil and a little bit of spanish and needed translators for all the ordinances.
Alan was the picture taker for everyone, so he got a selfie.
